Help for Displaying Patron Information

What to Do

This is where you select the information from your patron record you want to display or the action you want to take.

Display the Items Linked to Your Patron Record

Select this option to display a list of the items linked to your patron record (item's you have checked out, owe fines on, etc.). The items are identified by their barcode numbers. The information displayed by this format is more detailed than that displayed when you select Display the Titles Linked to Your Patron Record. The following information is displayed for each item:

NMBR
The number of the item on the display. This is the hot link to the record for the item.

Status
The status of the item

Bar-Code
Barcode number of the item

Charged Placed
The date and time you first checked out the item

Due Expires
The due date and time for the item

R
The number of times you have renewed the item

Returnd Renew
The date and time you renewed or returned the item. This information will only be displayed for a day.

Fine
Any fines associated with the item

Display the Titles Linked to Your Patron Record

This choice lists the items by their title and author. The only additional information included is the status of the item. Select this option to display a list of the items linked to your patron record (item's you have checked out, owe fines on, etc.). The items are identified by their title. The information displayed by this format is not as detailed as that displayed when you select Display the Items Linked to Your Patron Record. The following information is displayed for each item:

NMBR
The number of the item on the display. This is the hot link to the record for the item.

Status
The status of the item

Title
Title of the item

Author
Author of the item

Display a Summary of Information in Your Patron Record

Select this option to display a detailed summary of your record. To change any of the information, contact your local reference librarian.

Renew Titles Linked to Your Patron Record

Select this option to renew items that you currently have checked out. WebPals will display a list of the items you have checked out that are renewable. Select the items that you would like to renew, enter your barcode and password, and submit your request. Be sure to check the response to see if the renewal requests were successful.

Cancel ILL Requests Linked to Your Patron Record

Select this option to cancel pending ILL requests. WebPals will display a list of your pending ILL requests. Select the requests that you would like to cancel, enter your barcode and password, then submit your request. Be sure to check the response to see if the cancellation requests were successful.

Barcode

Your barcode number is a 14 digit number that can be found on your library card or student ID. It is located below an actual barcode on the card and always starts with a 2.

Password

Initially, your password is your your last name. If your last name is more then eight letters long, it is the first eight letters of your last name. If you would like to change your password, click here.
